2. Ants Marching (Radio Edit) (4:36)

3. Tripping Billies (Radio Edit) (4:45)

4 The Song that Jane Likes (Radio Edit) (3:23)

Perhaps the rarest of all of the DMB promo discs, this was part of a double disc put out by the Album Network showcasing up and coming musical acts back in 1994. At least do yourself the favor of looking at the scans!!

Dave Matthews Band
RCA RJC-65661-2
1994

2. Tripping Billies (R2T) (4:48)
3. Jimi Thing (UTTAD) (5:55)
4. Song That Jane Likes (1991 Quad Cities acoustic demo) (2:54)
5. What Would You Say (UTTAD) (5:31)
6. Typical Situation (1991 Quad Cities acoustic demo) (3:16)
7. Satellite (R2T) (4:48)
8. Rhyme & Reason (UTTAD) (5:14)
9. Dancing Nancies (1991 Quad Cities acoustic demo) (4:13)
10. Recently (R2T) (8:40)
11. Ants Marching (Dave & Tim 2/21/1994) (4:19)

This is a fantastic 11-track promo the band released right as they were making it big on commercial radio. This was sent to radio stations shortly after the release of UTTAD.

What Would You Say
RCA RDJ-62994-2
1994

1. What Would You Say (3:42)

The track that got them all started. This was the first promo CD that DMB sent to radio stations for airplay. Given the invincibilty of the Recently EP, I'm assuming it was not sent to radio stations.
8
Jimi Thing
RCA RDJ-64258-2
1994

1. Jimi Thing (Radio Edit) (4:53)

2. All Along the Watchtower (Recently) (7:04)

3. Christmas Song (Remember Two Things) (5:34)

4. Jimi Thing (LP Version) (5:57)

Other than the BAMA 002 Recently EP, this and Typical Situation are nearly impossible to find. I don't ever recall hearing this song on the radio either!! A true gem!!
10
Typical Situation
RCA RDJ-64324-2
1994

1. Typical Situation (Radio Edit) (3:57)

2. Typical Situation (Acoustic) (3:16)

3. What Would You Say (Live Acoustic) (3:54)

4. Tyipcal Situation (LP Version) (5:59)

As far as I'm concerned, this is the crown jewel of the DMB promos. Scintillating artwork and its extremely limited production make this a must have. I finally picked one up. Don't ask how much I paid for it either!
10
Ants Marching
RCA RDJ-64350-2
1995

1. Ants Marching (UTTAD) (4:31)

2. Ants Marching (Live) (4:45)

3. Ants Marching (Acoustic) (4:19)

This Ants promo is also very hard to get ahold of as the band had not quite "taken off" just yet. Believe it or not, this CD is not very easy to come by as the band had yet to fully take off and produce mass quantities of promo CDs.
8.5
Ants Marching
RCA RDJ-64457-2
1995

1. Ants Marching (Radio Edit) (3:33)

2. Ants Marching (UTTAD) (4:31)

3. Ants Marching (Live) (4:45)

4. Ants Marching (Acoustic) (4:19)

This particular Ants Marching promo is very hard to get ahold of. The three track promo seems to be the more prevalant version. This promo has no front insert.
9
Satellite
RCA RDJ-64453-2
1995

1. Satellite (Radio Version/Cold) (4:14)

2. Satellite (Radio Version/Fade) (4:22)

3. Satellite (Album Version) (4:50)

4. Christmas Song (Album Version) (5:34)

Yet another very hard to locate US promo. This must not have been printed in heavy quantities! Just a great disc to own! Good luck!
9.5
Too Much
RCA RDJ-64517-2
1996

1. Too Much (Album Version) (4:20)

2. Too Much (Radio Edit) (3:45)

The artwork on this one is very pleasing to the eye indeed. This one is fairly hard to locate, but you should be able to find it with a little digging. Definitely much harder to find than the import versions.
7
So Much To Say
RCA RDJ-64558-2
1996

1. So Much To Say (Album Version) (4:06)

2. So Much To Say (Radio Edit) (3:05)

Here we have some more interesting artwork for a very popular song at the time. This one is not too prevalent and not the easiest to find.
7
Two Step
RCA RDJ-64653-2
1996

1. Two Step (Radio Edit) (3:53)

2. Two Step (Acoustic) (2/13/1996) (6:26)

3. Crash Into Me (Acoustic) (2/11/1996) (5:18)

4. Typical Situation (Acoustic) (2/6/1996) (6:20)

5. So Much To Say (Acoustic) (date unknown) (3:44)

6. Two Step (Album Version) (6:26)

Here we have the most difficult of the Crash singles to find. This CD is a must have for any Dave & Tim fan with four acoustic tracks. Good luck finding this one anywhere! Fantastic artwork yet again.
9
Crash Into Me
RCA RDJ-64677-2
1996

1. Crash Into Me (Radio Edit) (4:15)

2. Crash Into Me (Acoustic) (5:18)

3. Crash Into Me (Album Version) (5:16)

This one is a little bit easier to find than the 5 track version below, but still won't come up an bite you if you're looking for it. I'm a big fan of this CD for some reason.
7
Crash Into Me
RCA RDJ-64706-2
1996

1. Crash Into Me (Album Version) (5:16)

2. Ants Marching (Live) (4:45)

3. So Much To Say (Acoustic) (3:44)

4. Crash Into Me (Acoustic) (5:18)

5. Christmas Song (Album) (5:34)

This is a somewhat difficult one to find as the three track version was much more widespread. Not sure as the point of this release as there is no radio edit on this disc.
8
Tripping Billies
RCA RDJ-64768-2
1996

1. Tripping Billes (Radio Edit) (4:18)

2. Tripping Billies (Album Version) (5:00)

3. Tripping Billies (Live Acoustic) (5:28)

4. Tripping Billies (Suggestive Callout Hook) (:10)

Very tough to find this disc anywhere. This is the only known "suggestive callout hook" I've ever seen for DMB. Interesting back cover on this one.
9.5
Don't Drink the Water
RCA RDJ-65459-2
1998

1. Don't Drink the Water (Radio Edit) (4:35)

2. Don't Drink the Water (Album Version) (7:03)

This one, while nice to look at, is not all that exciting to listen to. Fairly easy to obtain. Very nice looking disc art on this first promo from BTCS.
4
Stay (Wasting Time)
RCA RDJ-65515-2
1998

1. Stay (Remix Edit) (4:30)

2. Stay (Album Edit) (4:30)

3. Stay (Album Version) (5:35)

Yet another somewhat drab promo single from BTCS. Fairly easy to obtain with a little searching around.
4
Crush (Test Pressing)
RCA RDJ-65593-2
1998

1. Crush (Radio Edit) (4:12)

2. Crush (Album Version) (8:09)

Extremely rare test pressing of the actual Crush promo disc seen below. I believe these test pressings are sent to major-market radio stations. Very few copies of each single exist.
9
Crush
RCA RDJ-65593-2
1998

1. Crush (Radio Edit) (4:12)

2. Crush (Album Version) (8:09)

This is the most common version of the Crush promo. Beatiful front cover. The cover really comes to life when the 300dpi version is viewed on your screen. Send me an email if you want a 300dpi file.
7
Crush
RCA RDJ-65709-2
1999

1. Crush (No Intro Radio Edit) (4:12)

I'm not sure why this one was ever issued. The only thing I can think of is the prolonged success of Crush and a demand for a second pressin. This one was pressed in 1999 while the first pressing was in 1998. No cover art for this promo disc.
6
Crush (Live)
RCA RDJ-65794-2
1999

1. Crush (from VH1 Storytellers) (6:31)

Somewhat hard to find as there simply weren't that many printed. Comes with a stickered front jewel case and a back insert.
7
Rapunzel
RCA RDJ-65748-2
1999

1. Rapunzel (Radio Edit) (4:50)

2. Rapunzel (Album Version) (5:44)

Very hard to find as this song never really took off on the radio.
7
Rapunzel
RCA RSP-65748-2
1999

1. Rapunzel (Radio Edit) (4:50)

2. Rapunzel (Album Version) (6:00)

Very hard to find as this song never really took off on the radio and this particular version was printed in VERY limited quantities. Also note the different times for the Album versions.
9.5
I Did It
RCA RDJ-60402-2
2001

1. I Did It (3:38)

The first release from Everyday is about as boring as you can get as far as promo CD's go. I miss the good old days of fancy artwork and "unreleased" versions of songs. This song was promoted like crazy, so there are thousands of copies floating around.
4
The Space Between
RCA RDJ-60437-2
2001

1. The Space Between (4:02)

2. I Did It (Acoustic) (3:27)

Yet another quite boring release from Everyday. This song did fairly well on the radio so there are thousands of copies out there. Very easy to find.
4
When the World Ends
RCA RDJ-60490-2
2001

1. When the World Ends (Alt. Ending) (3:33)

2. When the World Ends (Album Version) (3:31)

3. When the World Ends (Live Version) (4:17)

This single was scheduled for release prior to the 9/11 disaster, so the band decided to scrap the idea and release Everyday as a single instead.
7
Everyday
RCA RDJ-60502-2
2001

1.Everyday (Radio Edit) (4:10)

2.Everyday (Album Version) (4:44)

3. Everyday (Live) (9:31)

This promo comes with a stickered front jewel case and a that's about it. The live version of this song is from Soldier Field on July 7, 2001.
6.5
Where Are You Going
RCA RDJ-60547-2
2002

1.Where Are You Going (Album Version) (3:52)

2.Where Are You Going (Edit) (3:46)

Nice to the see the band go back to a little more elaborate cover art! A rather bland promo CD, but still miles better than the Everyday stuff!
4
Grace is Gone
RCA RDJ-60547-2
2002

1. Grace is Gone (Remix Edit) (4:05)

2. Grace is Gone (Remix) (4:37)

3. Grace is Gone (Album Version) (4:38)

I have a feeling this song is going to be a huge hit and possibly become the next Crash Into Me. Good to see three different mixes of this song on the promo.
9
Grey Street
RCA RDJ-60655-2
2002

1. Grey Street (Rock Remix) (4:28)

2. Grey Street (Album Version) (5:06)

Very interesting rock remix. Definitely worth a listen. Pretty boring artwork though.
9
Gravedigger
RCA RDJ-55168-2
2003

1. Gravedigger (Studio) (3:50)

2. Gravedigger (Acoustic) (3:53)

The first single from Dave Matthews' solo album Some Devil. Acoustic version is quite nice!
7
Save Me
RCA RDJ-57448-2
2003

1. Save Me (Adult Mix) (3:47)

2. Save Me (Remix) (3:40)

3. Suggested Callout Hook (:10)

The second single from Dave Matthews' solo album Some Devil.
8
Oh
RCA RDJ-60200-2
2004

1. Oh (Album Version) (2:47)

The third single from Dave Matthews' solo album Some Devil. Very few of these were pressed so this one will be tough to find in a few years.
9
American Baby
RCA 82876-69100-2
2005

1. American Baby (Radio Edit) (3:42)

2. American Baby (Album Version) (4:36)

3. Suggested Callout Hook (:10)

Also includes tracks 1 and 2 in mp3 format.

The first single from Stand Up. Includes mp3 versions for some reason. Why would a radio station want an mp3 version?
6
Dreamgirl
RCA 82876-71782-2
2005

1. Dream Girl (Radio Mix) (3:32)

2. Dream Girl (Album Version) (4:01)

3. Suggested Callout Hook (:10)

Also includes tracks 1 and 2 in mp3 format.

The second single from Stand Up. I don't think this one did too well, so there aren't many copies floating around out there.

YEAHHHHHH YEAH YEAHHHHH

8
Everybody Wake Up
RCA
2005

1. Everybody Wake Up (xxx) (x:xx)

2. Everybody Wake Up (xxx) (x:xx)

The third single from Stand Up. Again, I don't think this one did very well either, so availability is scarce at best.
